Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. Based on the ancient form of ayurvedic or “science of life” healing, it helps to release stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders.

The massage uses a range of different movements including deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp. Lighter movements are applied to pressure points on the face.

The experience is deeply calming and relaxing and helps to relieve tension, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, migraine and sinusitis. It also helps to increase joint mobility and flexibility in the neck and shoulders, improves blood circulation and lymphatic flow and frees knots of muscular tension.

This ancient technique combines acupressure, energy balancing, massage and yoga stretches to promote relaxation.
